Melanie from Meatloaf's Kitchen approached me earlier this year to see if I could take photos at the first annual Dog Day at the Monroe Farmers Market in downtown Stroudsburg, PA. This of course got my wheels turning. I couldn't just do regular old dog photos - I wanted to do something different, naturally.
As an eternal 90s kid, I will always love the laser backdrops from school photos we all grew up with, so I thought it would be fun to recreate these yearbook photos with dogs. I also decided that this would be a great opportunity to give back to Monroe Animal League, whose mission is to prevent animal cruelty and to relieve the suffering of companion animals. MAL also offers financial support to pet owners struggling to care for their pets. We raised a little over $200 for this wonderful non-profit organization.
